The <br /> scope of work outlined herein was requested to determine whether or not the subsurface has <br /> been impacted by onsite activities near the forklift wash area and use of hazardous materials <br /> and/or petroleum products. This work is intended as a "presence/absence" investigation <br /> designed to determine whether or not impacts exist. <br /> As requested by the EHD: <br /> • AEI understands that the EHD does not direct the work of the investigation. <br /> • All results of the investigation will be submitted to the EHD within 60 days of the <br /> sampling event. <br /> • If the results of the investigation show that contamination is present, AEI understands <br /> that regulatory oversight will be necessary for future work. <br /> I Site Description and Background <br /> The subject property, which consists of a warehouse, is located on the east side of Spreckels <br /> Avenue in a commercial area of Manteca, California. The property totals approximately 27.84 <br /> acres and is improved with a one-story building totaling approximately 552,449 square feet. <br /> The building is constructed slab-on-grade. The subject property is currently unoccupied. In <br /> addition to the subject property building, the property is improved with a fire sprinkler room <br /> located along the north corner of the subject property building, approximately 90 truck trailer <br /> loading docks along the northeast-facing elevation of the subject property building, asphalt- <br /> paved parking areas, and associated landscaping. <br /> According to historical sources, the current subject property building was constructed in 2000 <br /> for use as a distribution warehouse facility. <br /> San Francisco(HQ)1 Atlanta; Chicago 1 Costa Mesa 1 Dallas J Denver 1 Los Angeles I Miami I New York I Phoenix I Portland I San Jose <br /> www.aeiconsultants.com <br />
