1117 Lone Palm Avenue <br /> Mtk �r <br /> k <br /> Suite B <br /> Modesto CA 95351 <br /> 209 579 2221 <br /> Fax 209 579 2225 <br /> A S S O C I A T E S I N C <br /> March 30, Y�a <br /> 54 62574 0001 <br /> APR 0 3 2000 <br /> Mr Jeff Wong <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH <br /> Environmental Health Division PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> 304 E Weber Street, 3rd Floor <br /> Stockton, CA 95202 <br /> Subject Fourth Quarter 1999 Status Report, Fire Engine Company No 2, 110 West <br /> Sonora Street, Stockton, California <br /> Dear Mr Wong <br /> This letter report summarizes the results of groundwater monitoring conducted during the fourth <br /> quarter 1999 by ATC Associates Inc at the subject site (Figure 1) The work was conducted at <br /> the request of the San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Health Division <br /> i (PHS/EHD) and included measuring depths to groundwater, collecting groundwater samples from <br /> the monitoring wells and vapor wells for subjective and laboratory analyses, and evaluatirng the <br /> groundwater gradient and direction of groundwater flow beneath the site <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> According to information supplied by the City of Stockton, the following USTs were removed from <br /> the site on the given dates, and the excavations backfilled <br /> T-1 550-gallon Diesel Removed 10/28/93 <br /> T-2 1,000-gallon Regular Unleaded Removed 10/28/93 <br /> T-3 1,000-gallon Unleaded Removed 04/01/87 <br /> T-4 350-gallon Waste Oil Removed 04/23/92 <br /> T-5 550-gallon Diesel Removed 10/28/93 <br /> T-6 1,000-gallon Gasohne(Water Removed 08/07/87 <br /> The locations of the former tanks T-1 through T-5 are shown on Figure 2 In 1988, the City of <br /> Stockton contracted RESNA Industries Inc to conduct a subsurface investigation to assess the <br /> extent of residual hydrocarbons in soil The investigation included drilling seventeen soil borings, <br /> installing five groundwater monitoring wells, five vapor extraction wells, one piezometer, and one <br /> recovery well, collecting and analyzsng soil and groundwater samples, monitoring fluid levels in <br /> the wells, performing a groundwater aquifer test, performing a soil vapor extraction test, and <br /> performing an air sparge test <br />
