• Interim Soil Remediation Work Plan - South UST Area <br /> FIRE STATION #2 <br /> 110 West Sonora Street, Stockton, California <br /> 10. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of the City of Stockton Public Works Department and Fire Prevention Department, <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc (AGE)has prepared the enclosed Interim Soil Remediation Work <br /> Plan-South USTArea for the property located at 110 West Sonora Street, Stockton,California(the <br /> site) The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1 and a plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2 <br /> The scope of work includes soil excavation, soil sample collection and analysis, and disposal of <br /> impacted soil Currently, site improvements, including a significant driveway improvement, are <br /> being completed in the area of the former south UST dispenser lines, the proposed interim <br /> remediation would be conducted concurrently with the site improvements <br /> This work plan provides procedures for the recommendation included in the AGE-prepared <br /> Preliminary Site Assessment Report, dated 12 August 2002, and was prepared in accordance with <br /> the California Regional Water Quality Control Board - Central Valley Region (CRWQCB-CR) <br /> • guidelines for the investigation of UST sites <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> The site is bounded on the north by Sonora Street, on the west and south by Madison Street and on <br /> the east by Commerce Street Presently a single building is located at the northern portion of the site, <br /> occupied by the City of Stockton - Fire Prevention Department A diesel/gasoline fueling system <br /> previously occupied the northwestern portion of the site, a petroleum hydrocarbons release from the <br /> associated underground storage tanks (USTs) is presently being remediated <br /> The properties surrounding the site are mostly industrial, with a few residences east of the site <br /> 21 PREVIOUS INVESTIGATIONS <br /> During redevelopment construction on the southeastern portion of the site, a former accelerant fuel <br /> line used for fire training was discovered The product line was uncovered, removed and soil was <br /> sampled and analyzed for petroleum hydrocarbons In addition, a former UST location was <br /> discovered at the eastern end of the pipeline during the pipeline removal, this location was re- <br /> excavated and a soil sample was collected and analyzed Based on laboratory analytical results <br /> Total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel and motor oil (TPH-d and TPH-mo)were detected <br /> at concentrations of 2,300 milhgrams/kilogram(mg/kg) and 4,000 mg/kg,respectively, and <br /> Advanced GeoEnvu0==taL Inc <br />
