IQuarterly Monitoring Report - Fourth Quarter 2002
FIRE STATION #2
I110 West Sonora Street, Stockton, California
1.0 INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK
I At the request of the City of Stockton,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this
report for corrective action activities conducted at 110 West Sonora Street, Stockton,California(the
site) The location of the site and its surroundings are illustrated in Figure 1 Structures and well
Ilocations associated with the site are depicted in Figure 2
The fourth quarter ground water monitoring event was conducted on 31 December 2002, however,
I because monitoring well MW-5 was unaccessible, this well was not monitored and sampled until
03 January 2003 To determine time-consistent ground water elevations and gradient, the depth to
water in monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-5 was measured on 13 January 2003
IThe soil vapor extraction and air-sparging system that was in operation since October 2001 were
removed from the site on 30 August 2002 for site redevelopment
• 2.0. PROCEDURES
' FieldP rocedures for ground water sampling are described below All field work was performed in
accordancewith Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)guidelines for
the investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites
I21 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATIONS
I A Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in monitoring wells MW-
1 and MW-3 and vapor wells VW-1, VW-2d, VW-3 and VW-5d on 31 December 2002, and
monitoring well MW-5 on 03 January 2003 After water levels were gauged, a dedicated disposable
bailer was used to purge these wells of a minimum of three casing-water volumes (approximately
3 to 16 gallons) of ground water Temperature, pH, and conductivity were measured at regular
intervals during purging using an Oakton model water analyzer Purged water from impacted wells
was stored on-site in 55-gallon drums The field data sheets are included in Appendix A
On 13 January 2003, depth to ground water was re-measured in monitoring wells MW-1 through
I MW-5 with the Solinst water level meter The groundwater elevations and gradient were determined
from this data (Table 1)
Advanced GcoEnvironmenW,Inc
