lieRemediation System Installation and <br /> Quarterly Monitoring Report - Fourth Quarter 2001 <br /> FIRE STATION#2 <br /> 110 West Sonora Street, Stockton, California <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> At the request of the City of Stockton,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br /> report for corrective action activities conducted at 110 West Sonora Street, Stockton,California(the <br /> site) The location of the site and its surroundings are illustrated to Figure 1 Structures and <br /> monitoring and remediation well locations associated with the site are depicted in Figure 2 <br /> rThis report documents the installation of three vapor extraction wells and three air-spargmg wells, <br /> soil vapor sampling events,and presents the results of laboratory analysis of the soil-vapor samples <br /> I collected A soil vapor extraction/in-situ air sparging system was installed during August and <br /> September 2001 System operation was initiated in October 2001 Additionally, a ground water <br /> monitoring event was conducted in October 2001 <br /> 2.0 PROCEDURES <br /> All field work was performed in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board(CVRWQCB)guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tank(UST)sites Field <br /> Iprocedures for well installation and soil-vapor sampling are described below <br /> The work was preformed in accordance with procedures outlined in the Design Plans and <br /> Specifications For Soil and Groundwater Remediation, prepared by ATC Associates Inc (ATC) as <br /> approved by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services-Environmental Health Division(PHS- <br /> EHD), by letter dated 03 January 2001 <br /> 2 1 DRILLING AND SAMPLING <br /> On 24 and 25 July 2001, three air-sparge well pilot borings and three soil vapor extraction well pilot <br /> borings were advanced at the site The soil borings were advanced using a CME-75HT drill rig, <br /> equipped with 8 25-inch diameter hollow-stem augers The drill rig and three-marl crew were supplied <br /> by WestHaz Mat Drilling Incorporated Auger returns generated by drilling were stored on-site on <br /> visqueen plastic, pending laboratory analysis Soil pilot borings IAS 1 to IAS3 were advanced to a <br /> depth of 40 feet below surface grade(bsg)and SVE soil pilot borings VW6 to VW8 were advanced <br /> to a depth of 30 feet bsg Soil cuttings were screened for the presence of organic vapor using an <br /> organic vapor meter(OVM)equipped with a photo-ionization detector(PID Thermo Environmental <br /> . 580A. 10 0 eV, calibrated to isobutylene), and the OVM readings were monitored for health and <br /> safety reasons <br /> I <br /> Advanced GeoEDviranrnental Inc <br />
