E
September 28, 1993 Working To Restore Nature
Fire Engine Company No 2, Stockton, California
SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The groundwater flow direction and gradient were generally consistent with those evaluated
during previous events. Dissolved gasoline hydrocarbons were detected in samples from
wells MW-1, MW-2, MW-4, and RW-1. Dissolved diesel hydrocarbons were reported for
wells MW-1 and RW-1 during this sampling event, however, the reported carbon range (less
than C12) suggests that these hydrocarbons may actually be gasoline or a mixture of gasoline
and diesel fuel Dissolved concentrations of benzene were similar to those measured during
the previous sampling event. The next sampling event has been scheduled for November
1993
WORK IN PROGRESS
Offsite access has been authorized by the City of Stockton to install one monitoring well in
Madison Street. Permits for the onsite and offsite well installation have been submitted to
San Joaquin County, and drilling is tentatively schedule for September 23 and 24, 1993
We recommend forwarding signed copies of this report to Ms Linda Turkatte of the San
Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division, P O Box 2009,
Stockton, California 95201, and Mr Gordon Boggs of the California Regional Water Quality
Control Board, Central Valley Region, 3443 Routier Road, Sacramento California 95827-
3098.
0820jesc
-18009-a 3
