� <br /> June 30, 1942 A AW <br /> Fire Engine Company No. 2, Stockton, California <br /> o Drill two 10;inch-diameter soil borings to 30 feet below grade and install 4-inch- <br /> diameter vapor-extraction wells The wells will be screened through the sand <br /> interval. <br /> o Drill one 12-inch-diameter soil boring to 10 feet below ground water (approximately <br /> 55 feet below grade) and convert the boring to a 6-inch-diameter ground-water <br /> pumping test well <br /> o Drill one 6-inch diameter soil boring to ground water and install a 1-inch diameter <br /> piezometer within a 10 foot radius of the pumping test. The piezometer will be used <br /> to monitor changes in the ground water level during the pumping test. <br /> o Collect relatively undisturbed soil samples at 5-foot intervals or lithological changes <br /> from the ground surface to the total depth of each boring <br /> o Develop, purge, and sample the ground-water pumping test well <br /> o Submit the water sample and a maximum of two soil samples per boring to a State- <br /> certified <br /> tate- <br /> certifed laboratory for analyses of total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) <br /> and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylene isomers (BTEX)using methods <br /> approved by the SJCPHS-EHD <br /> o Collect a composite sample from the drill cuttings for analyses of TPHg and BTEX <br /> to evaluate disposal options and apprise the City of Stockton of these options <br /> o Contract a licensed surveyor to survey the new and old wells with respect to mean <br /> sea level. <br /> o Transport a portable vapor-extraction system to the site <br /> o Operate the vapor-extraction system as required to obtain vapor samples and vacuum <br /> and flowrate information <br /> o Submit vapor samples to a State-certified laboratory for analyses of TPHg and <br /> BTEX <br /> o Interpret the data and develop remedial recommendations for soil. Results of the <br /> work will be presented in our status report for the quarter the work is conducted <br />• M009-sw 3 <br />
