Proposal and Estimated Budget for Quarterly Monitoring of Ground Water
at Fire Engine Company No 2, 110 West Sonora Street, Stockton, California.
Mr Escobar:
At the request of the City of Stockton, Applied GeoSystems is submitting this proposal and
. estimated budget for 1 year of quarterly monitoring of ground water at the subject site.
Applied GeoSystems recommends conducting one sampling event and incorporating the data
into the draft Applied GeoSystems Problem Assessment Report (PAR), 38009-2, dated
October 18, 1990. To date we sampled water from wells MW-1 though M-3 in December
1988 and water from well MW-4 in May 1990 Our June 14, 1989 letter proposal and
budget for further work at the site only included sampling for the newly installed well. The
purpose of this sampling program is to monitor and evaluate the concentrations of
hydrocarbons in ground water beneath the site
Applied GeoSystems began an environmental investigation at the site in December 1988 to
evaluate whether hydrocarbons from a leaking underground storage tank affected soil and ;
ground water beneath the site Three ground-water monitoring wells were installed in
December 1988, and one well was installed in May 1990. Water samples collected from
these four wells contained hydrocarbons, therefore we recommended quarterly monitoring
of ground water.
31 12
The attached budget includes performing the following tas 4 quart
>•T , onitonng
events:
0 Update the site safety plan . ` %
