All
groundwater samples were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline, kerosene,
diesel, and motor oil (TPH-G, -K, -D, AND -MO) by EPA Method 8015m, for benzene, toluene, ethyl
benzene, and total xylenes (BTEX)by EPA Method 8020, and for gasoline oxygenates/additives by EPA
Method 826013. The gasoline oxygenates/additives include methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE), ethanol,
tertiary-butanol (TBA), di-isopropyl ether (D1PE), ethyl tertiary-butyl ether (ETRE), tertiary-amyl methyl
ether (TAME), 1,2-dibromoethane (EDB or 1,2-DBA), and 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA). Excelchem
Environmental Labs of Roseville, California analyzed the groundwater samples. The laboratory analytical
results for the groundwater samples collected from the monitor wells on March 13, 2003, are presented in
Table 3, below, and in Figure 3, attached. Historical groundwater monitoring data, laboratory certificates
of analyses, and chain-of-custody record are also attached.
Table 3 Groundwater Analytical Results (March 13, 2003)
Sample Number 3024-MW1 3024-MW2 3024-MW3
Analyte Units /1.
Benzene <0.5 0.7 8.6
Toluene <0.5 1.7 1.4
Ethyl benzene <0.5 19 5.6
Total x lenes <I.0 2.9 12
TPH-G <50 240 930
TPH-D <50 230 220
TPH-MO <500 550 <500
TPH-K <50 <50 <50
MTBE <0.5 <0.5 85
Ethanol <20 <20 <200
Tertia -butanol <5.0 <5.0 <50
Di-isopropyl ether <0.5 <0.5 <5.0
Ethyl tertiary-butyl ether <0.5 <0.5 <5.0
Tert-am 1 methyl ether <0.5 <0.5 <5.0
1,2-di chloroethane <0.5 1.9 41
I,2-dibromoethane <0.5 <0.5 <5.0
Unit Conversions: Analytical
µg/L:parts per billion(ppb) TPH-G=total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline.
TPH-K=total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as kerosene
MTBE=methyl tertiary-butyl ether
V
.1 CONDOR
