This contract includes a provision for technical support by the <br /> Califomia Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB). <br /> PHSIEHD has recently received a letter from the CVRWQC8 that provides guidance on how to <br /> analyze for the oxygenated compounds in gasoline.until a "definitive protocol' can be <br /> established. Based an this letter, PHSIEHD is directing you to analyze samples from all of <br /> .our onitoring wells for Tertiary Butyl Alcohol (TBA), Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether(MTBE), D'- <br /> isopropyl ether (DIPS), Ethyl Tertiary Butyl Ether(ETRE) and Tertiary Amyl_Methyl Ether <br /> TAME) by EPA method 8260. PHSIEHD will require analysis of samples for Methanol and <br /> Ethanol where there is reason to believe that these compounds were stored in the underground <br /> tank(s). <br /> PHSIEHD requires quarterly sampling of ail wells where the presence of o enates is <br /> confirmed by EPA method 8260. Modification of this required sampling such as number of wells <br /> sampled, sampling frequency and method of analysis may be granted only after initial sample <br /> results are reviewed by PHSIEHD.
