In order to provide you with the direction needed to maintain local and state well monitoring
requirements, PHS-EHD will require that a sampling protocol and schedule be submitted for approval
immediately.
Enclosed please find a copy of the "Tri-Regional Guidelines, Appendix A-Reporting". Quarterly monitoring
events are to conducted and PHS-EHD is to be notified of the dates with 48 working hours notice.
Also enclosed is a copy of PHS-EHD correspondence dated May 25, 1993. As you will notice, comments and
direction were offered in this letter, but it appears that it may have been directed to an office without the ability
to comply.
Recent contact from a consultant preparing a "bid" for .further subsurface investigation indicate that onsite work
may be commencing in the near future. PHS-EHD would like to take this opportunity to ensure that any
proposed onsite work also include sampling of the monitoring wells and the submittal of the required quarterly
reports to PHS-EHD in a timely manner.
Please have your consultant contact our office prior to any sampling event or report submittal to ensure that the
minimum requirements of each are made clear so incomplete or invalid work is not preformed.
Please direct your submittals or any questions you may have to Michael Infurna at (209) 468-3454.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Enviro ental Health Division
Michael Infurna, Senior RE S Diane M.
