Geofogical Technics Inc <br /> 2741 94ver Xpad <br /> %fodcato,Calafm?" 95351 <br /> (209)538 5424/yax#538 5852 <br /> Monitoring Well Abandonment Report <br /> Ripon Milling, Inc. <br /> 320 South Stockton Street <br /> Ripon, California <br /> Project No 253 2 <br /> April 25, 1996 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> This report documents the abandonment of the groundwater monitoring well <br /> (MW-1) at the Ripon Milling, Inc Facility located at 320 South Stockton Street, <br /> Ripon, California <br /> • 2.0 SITE CLOSURE WORK <br /> 2.1 Monitoring Well Abandonment <br /> On January 22, 1996 Geological Technics Inc submitted a Well Permit <br /> Application for Abandonment to the San Joaquin County Public Health Services- <br /> Environmental Health Division (SJCPHSEHD) The Well Abandonment Permit <br /> was approved by the SJCPHSEHD on January 24, 1996 <br /> On March 4, 1996 Geological Technics Inc submitted a work plan proposing <br /> monitoring well abandonment On March 27, 12996 the monitoring well <br /> abandonment work plan was approved by the SJCPHSEHD <br /> On April 9, 1996 V & W Drilling contractors (C57 license #710678) abandoned the <br /> MW-1 monitoring well in accordance with the permit and work plan This work <br /> was performed under the direction of Tim McDonald professional geologist of <br /> Geological Technics Inc Mr Ron Rowe of the SJCPHSEHD was present during <br /> the grouting process <br /> The monitoring well was abandoned as follows <br /> • The watertight traffic box cover was removed <br /> • The water tight locking cap was removed thus opening the well <br />
