FIELD REPORT
GROUNDWATER MONITORING
SAN JOAQUIN COUNT' HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY BUILDING
STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA
Introduction
On August 12 and 13, 1993, ROY F. WESTON, INC. (WESTON®) conducted a sampling
program of five monitor wells located in the vicinity of the San Joaquin County Human Services
building in downtown Stockton. This sampling was conducted in order to evaluate the possible
presence of gasoline-related c0111l)0L1nds in the groundwater.
Water Level Measurement and Monitor Well Pur e
On arrival at the site, measurements of standing water levels and total well depth were taken in
wells MW-2 through MW-8 utilizing an electronic well sounding device. Wells MW-2 and
MW-3 were dry. Groundwater elevations relative to mean sea level (N4SL) were calculated and
the results are presented in Table A-1 below.
TABLE A-1
Water Level .1:levaticnns
August 12 and 13,_1993
Well Location Well Elevation' (feet) Clepth to Water (feet) Water Elevation= (feet)
MW-1 Abandoned ' NA3 NA
mW-2 Approximately 13.50 Dry NA
MW-3 Approximately 13.50 Dry NA
I
M W-4 13.46 49.91 -36.45
MW-5 12.83 48.13 -35.30
M W-6 13.17 49.12 -35.95
MW-7 13.14 50.95 -37.81
11 MW-8 13.76 51.48 -37.72
1.
