,C <br /> t <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division Project 3267-E <br /> September 19, 2000 Page 2 <br /> products have migrated less than 200 feet in this area The soils underlying this site are <br /> predominately clay, with intermittent sand lenses, further restricting the horizontal and <br /> vertical movement of petroleum products in this area <br /> As requested by PHS/EHD we will provide the following additional information <br /> 1 A water source well/receptor survey within 2,000 feet of the subject property will be <br /> obtained from data in the files of the California Department of Water Resources in <br /> Sacramento, California <br /> 2 Direct-push probes, extending to a depth of 40 feet, will be located in the City right-of- <br /> way, approximately 60 and 180 feet down-gradient of the northeast corner of the subject <br /> property The probes will be undertaken by Vironex Environmental Field Services, as <br /> described on the attached Appendix Representative soil and water samples will be <br /> obtained and tested for TPH-gas, TPH-diesel, benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene, xylenes, <br /> and methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) using EPA Methods 8015/8020 <br /> 3 A monitoring well extending to a depth of 50 feet will be installed at the northeast <br /> corner of the subject property to evaluate stabilized groundwater levels, direction of <br /> groundwater movement(using data from existing monitoring wells in the area), level of <br /> groundwater contamination and the natural attenuation potential over a period of time <br /> 4 The results of our evaluation will be submitted to PHS/EHD describing the vertical and <br /> horizontal extent of hydrocarbon impacted soil and groundwater at the captioned site <br /> and recommendations for monitoring and/or mitigation <br /> HYDRO GEO CONSULTANTS,INC <br />
