Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, California 95201 <br /> NEW SHOP BUILDING - SWIFT TRANSPORTATION <br /> Geotechnical Engineering Investigation Work Pian <br /> 781, Swift Wait <br /> Stockton, California <br /> ',NKA :No. 1853.01 <br /> The purposes of this letter are to inform you of our 'intentions for performing a subsurface <br /> investication at the site of the proposed new shop building to be constructed at 781 Swift <br /> !r°gay in Stockton, California. We propose to drill three borings to a maximum estimated depth <br /> of 15 fest below existing site grade. We have attached a site plan showing the approximate <br /> lccafion of borings. The borings will he drilled using four inch diameter continuous flight. <br /> awgs,rs, The samples wiii to obtained using a modified Cali(ornia sampler. <br /> -le do not propose to perform environmental sampl ng; however, if obvious soil <br /> c4n'La nination is observed by our representative, qualified personnel from our office will be <br /> contacted for advisement. We propose to entirely back-1`711 tt•1p borings with a neat cement <br /> grout. The soil cuttings will be disposed of on-site. <br /> As we discussed with you on the phone, the proposed 'project is located south and west of <br /> the older shop building adjacent to the east side of an existing warehouse. This location is <br /> significantly far away from, the area of previous contamination and we do not anticipate that <br /> contaminated soils will be encountered. We will contact you as early as possible t, arrange a <br /> grout inspeCtion ren-site during ou subsurface exploration. <br /> Please contact our office if you have any questions about the subject project.
