781 SWIFT.WAY.
WKA No. 1735.03
January 3, 1995
Page 3 7
The wells will be developed using.a vented surge block and pumped until relatively free of
sediment and/or until stabilized pH, temperature and conductivity readings are attained. The
water purged during development will be placed in sealed and labeled 55-gallein drums and stored
on site.
Following construction and development, water samples will be obtained from each of the six
wells. Prior to sampling, a water level measurement will be recorded, and the wells will be
checked for the presence of free product using a clear bailer. The wells will then be purged of at
least three well volumes of water or until stabilized pH, temperature and conductivity readings
are attained; purge water will be stored in sealed and labeled, 55-gallon drums as described
above. Subsequent to purging, water samples will be obtained with disposable bailers and
decanted into appropriate sample containers provided by the laboratory. The water samples will
be stored on ice in an ice chest and submitted"under chain-of-custody to a California-certified
laboratory, .along with a travel blank, for analysis of TPH using Modified EPA test method 8015
and BTEX using EPA test method 602.
Subsequent to construction, the three additional wells and three existing wells will be surveyed to
provide basis for calculation of ground water flow direction and gradient.
Reporting/Time Line
The proposed work will adhere to the reporting procedures and will be completed within the time
line presented in our Workplan For Monitoring Well Installation, dated August 13, 1992.
