WKA No 173 5 02 <br /> October 16, 1996 <br /> Page 2 <br /> The samples were immediately placed in an ice-chest with ice and submitted under chain-of- <br /> custody to a Califorma-certified laboratory for analysis of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH) <br /> as gasoline and diesel using Modified EPA test method 8015, and Benzene, Toluene, <br /> Ethylbenzene and Total Xylenes (BTEX) using EPA test method 602 Each of the samples was <br /> additionally screened for MTBE using EPA 8020 <br /> The two-inch diameter submersible pump was cleaned with a solution of Liqui-nox and water <br /> prior to purging each well to minimize the potential for cross-contamination All water removed <br /> during sampling and purging operations was placed in sealed and labeled 55-gallon drums and <br /> stored on site <br /> No free product was observed in monitoring wells MW 1 through MW6 Analytical results of <br /> water samples MW 1 through MW6 revealed no detectable concentrations of TPH as gasoline, <br /> BTEX, or M,�TBE, A concentration of 60 ug/L TPH as diesel was reported to sample MWI <br /> Analytical results for the groundwater samples obtained from the six on-site monitoring wells are <br /> summarized in Table 1 Complete analytical results and chain-of-custody documentation are <br /> included in the appendix <br /> Based on the above data, and historic groundwater sampling, we believe that no further <br /> investigation or monitoring is required at this site As a result, we are preparing a detailed closure✓ <br /> request which will include a summary of all soil and groundwater data, a survey of water wells <br /> within a 2,000 foot radius of the site, and a Risk Based Corrective Action Plan This report will <br /> be submitted to San Joaquin County Public Health Services Department by November 31, 1996 <br /> Please call if you have any questions regarding this report <br /> Wallace - Kuhl & Associates, Inc <br /> _)j 11 <br /> rt Balasek <br /> enior Hydrogeologist <br /> • KUB sdm <br /> Copy to Michael Infurna, San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> kuVMlt735-02 Q12 INK <br /> WALLACE KUHL <br /> R gdedpaper rrASSOCIATES INC <br />
