SVM ASSOCIATES <br /> WKA No 1735 02 <br /> January 18, 1993 <br /> Page 2 <br /> 5 <br /> Findings <br /> Laboratory analysis of selected soil samples obtained during the construction of the two on-site <br /> monitoring wells revealed no detectable concentrations of TPH or BTEX. Soil sample analysis results <br /> are summarized in Table 1 <br /> Laboratory analysis of the ground water sample obtained from Monitoring Well MW 1 revealed Benzene <br /> and Total Xylene concentrations of 1 1 l gle and 0 60 ug/f, respectively. Laboratory analysis of the <br /> ground water samples obtained from wells MW2 and MW3 revealed no detectable levels of TPH or <br /> BTEX Ground water analysis results are presented in Table 2 Complete laboratory reports and chain- <br /> of-custody documentation are included in Appendix B <br /> Subsequent to the installation and completion of Monitoring Wells MW2 and MW3, well locations and <br /> elevations were surveyed by a California licensed surveyor Depths to ground water were measured on <br /> December 16, 1992, based on these measurements, ground water flow is southwesterly with a gradient <br /> of 0 0032 feet/foot <br /> Prior to the construction of Monitoring Well MW1, information was obtained from San Joaquin County <br /> indicating that the local ground water flow direction was toward the southeast In our December 16, <br /> 1992 measurements are inconsistent with the county data, theretore, it appears that the ground water <br /> flow direction in the vicinity of the subject property may vary Changes of ground water flow direction <br /> may be a result of many factors including seasonal fluctuations, precipitation, or localized pumping <br /> R mmenda i n <br /> eco • s <br /> We recommend that quarterly monitoring be continued for a period of one year; if contamination levels <br /> in the wells do not increase significantly in the quarterly samples, we will recommend site closLre The <br /> next quarterly status report will be submitted to San Joaquin County Public Health Services by March <br /> 31, 1993 <br /> Limitations <br /> The statements and conclusions in this report are based upon the scope of work described above and on <br /> observations made on the dates of our field work, October 12-13 and December 16-17, 1992 Our work <br /> was performed using a degree of skill consistent with that of competent environmental consulting firms <br /> performing similar work in the area No recommendation is made as to the suitability of the property <br /> for any purpose The results of our investigation do not preclude the possibility that materials currently <br /> v��W <br /> WALLACE KUHL <br /> &cyc�e.t(xiper E� <br /> AssOcWi ES INN <br />
