CAMBRIA
97
Mr. Harlin Knoll, Senior REHS
San Joaquin County Public Health Services Mp
IV 1997
304 E. Weber Avenue, Third Floor
Stockton,California 95201-0388 ENVIRO;-,','i' `J_A L H EA LT vi
PERA40' i4 'ERVICES
Re: Well Abandonment Work Plan
Bennett Property
443 Sycamore Street
Manteca, California
Cambria Project NO: 84-00361
Dear Mr. Knoll:
As we discussed on April 15, 1997,.Cambria Environmental Technology,Inc (Cambria) presents this
brief work plan and a permit'applicati on to abandon monitoring well MW-I at the site mentioned above.
As you verbally approved, Cambria plans to pressure grout the well in place using a tremie pipe, and
refinish the surface with neat cement to match the existing surface. We will also remove the well vault
at this time.
The soil analytic data from the soil boring and monitoring well installation by Cambria in October 1996
indicated very low TPHg concentrations and only xylenes in one sample. Benzene, ethylbenzerie and
toluene were not detected in soil. Therefore, as we discussed, Cambria will spread the soil cuttings
generated during well installation onsite.
Please find attached a site map,a well log and a check far$60 for the permit fee. I have also enclosed
a copy of the soil analytic data obtained during well installation for your reference.
We appreciate your.prompt assistance to this case. Please call me at(510)420-3317 if you have any
questions or comments.
CAMBRIA Sincerely,
Cambria Environmental Technology, Inc.
ENVIRONMENTAL
TECHNOLOGY,INC.
Sam Rangarajan
1144 65TH STREET, Hydrogeologist
SuiTE B
Attachments
OAKLAND,
cc: Ms. Michelle Simard Mateo
CA 94608 Environmental Closures, 2291 West Match Lane, Suite 1001), Stockton, CA 95207
PHJ510)420-0700
FAPR0JECT1BENNETnworkp1an.wpd
FAx:(310)420M170
