San Joaquin CountA blic Health Services l !
Page 2 FJ
These data show substantially lower MTBE concentrations than results associated with samples collected
during 1999 and 2000,when concentrations as high as 99,000.µg/l were detected.
These results also show lower MTBE concentrations in offsite well MW-7 (426 µg/)in comparison with the
prior sampling event,when 8,600µg/was detected.
PHS requested a workplan for additional assessment based on rising MTBE concentrations in monitoring
wells located adjacent to the underground storage tanks,as well as the recent detection of MTBE in offsite
well MW-7. Given the declining MTBE concentrations at this site,BP suggests that continued coordinated
quarterly monitoring occur in order to corroborate these declining concentration trends in lieu of a workplan'
for additional investigation.
Please give me a call at(425)251-0689 if you have any comments or questions.
Sincer ly,
Scott Hooton
i
attachment
cc: site file
David Camille—Tosco(w/attachment)
Cindy Magyar—Blaine Technical Services
Robert Kitay,Aquascience,208 West El Pintado Road,Danville,CA 94526
Roger Hoffmore,Seacor,3017 Kilgore Road;STE 100,Rancho Cordova,CA 95670
y
I
i
i
I
1
