This work is being done
as part of a property transfer baseline assessment.
r Soil borings will be located approximately at the locations shown on the attached site map.
r-► One soil boring will be in the vicinity of the underground storage tanks, one_soil boring
rV
will be in the vicinity of the pump islands, and one boring will be adjacent to the station
building.
i
Soil samples will be collected at approximately 2.5-foot intervals from each boring using a
stainless steel geoprobe sampler. Up to two soil samples from each boring will be
submitted for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHG); benzene, toluene,
ethylbenzene, and xylenes (TPHG); and total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel-extended
(TPHD-extended) analyses. In addition, at least one soil sample from the boring adjacent
to the station. building will be submitted for chlorinated solvents (Environmental
Protection Agency [EPA] Method 8010) and PCBs (EPA Method 8080) analyses.
Each soil boring will be advanced to first-encountered groundwater (anticipated to be
approximately 7 feet below ground surface), and a grab groundwater sample will be
collected from the boring with a HydroPuncho sampler. The water samples will be
analyzed for TPHG, BTEX, TPHD-extended, and chlorinated solvents.
Drilling and sampling equipment will be decontaminated between borings. Following soil
and groundwater sample collection, the borings will be backfilled with cement-bentonite
grout.
SAC/PJM52/09520920.2AM-9411fcA
