AUTOMATIC RECOVERY SYSTEM MONITORING REPORT <br /> THIRD QUARTER 1992 <br /> for <br /> Former Mobil Station 04-NP4 <br /> 2375 Tracy Boulevard <br /> Tracy, California <br /> October 2, 1992 <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> This report presents the results and findings of third quarter 1992 sampling of the ground <br /> water automatic recovery system (ARS) operating at former Mobil Station 04-NP4, <br /> 2375 Tracy Boulevard, Tracy, California. Samples were collected and analyzed to comply <br /> with National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit requirements A <br /> site vicinity map is shown in Figure 1 <br /> ARS OPERATION <br /> The ARS was installed in May 1992 to treat subsurface dissolved-phase hydrocarbons. The <br /> system consists of one recovery well with an electrical submersible pump, support piping, <br /> a transfer pump, a filter, and two 1,000-pound activated-carbon canisters in series Effluent <br /> is discharged to a storm drain which leads to Sugar Cut Canal. <br /> FIELD PROCEDURES <br /> Monitoring and sampling of the ARS was performed on August 24 and September 24, 1992, <br /> in accordance with requirements and procedures of the self-monitoring program established <br /> in the NPDES permit. The process flow diagram is shown in Figure 2. Sampling ports are <br /> designated as follows: <br /> I-1 Influent from recovery well <br /> A-1 Effluent from primary carbon canister <br /> E-1 Effluent from secondary carbon canister, before discharge into storm drain <br />
