SUBSURFACE INVESTIGATION, <br /> REMEDIATION SYSTEM INSTALLATION, AND <br /> QUARTERLY GROUND WATER MONITORING <br /> AND SAMPLING REPORT <br /> Former Mobil Station 04-NP4 <br /> 2375 Tracy Boulevard <br /> Tracy, California <br /> April 21, 1992 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> Based on results of the Alton Geoscience Supplemental Site Investigation dated <br /> October 1, 1990 and recommendations set forth in the Remedial Work Plan dated <br /> April 5, 1991, and Addendum to Remedial Work Plan dated September 6, 1991, Alton <br /> Geoscience was retained by Mobil Oil Corporation to install two ground water recovery <br /> wells at former Mobil Station 04-NP4, 2375 Tracy Boulevard, Tracy, California. This report <br /> also includes the results of September 25 and December 10, 1991 ground water monitoring <br /> and sampling <br /> . All work was performed in accordance with the applicable guidelines and requirements of <br /> the San Joaquin County Public Health Services (SJCPHS) and the Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board, Central Valley Region (RWQCB). A site vicinity map is presented in <br /> Figure 1 <br /> 2.0 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The former Mobil site is presently an operating BP Oil Company station, having been <br /> formally transferred in 1989 The site is located on the southwest corner of the intersection <br /> of Tracy Boulevard and Grant Line Road and is bounded by an Exxon service station to the <br /> east, a Chevron service station to the northeast, and retail shopping centers to the north, <br /> west, and south (see Figure 2) The properties immediately adjacent to the site are <br /> primarily commercial developments. Duncan Russell High School is located within 1/2-mile <br /> to the east, while Powers Park and Tracy Ball Park are approximately 2,000 feet south and <br /> 100 feet southeast <br /> The site is located at an elevation of approximately 26 feet above mean sea level (msl), <br /> (NGVD-1929), as shown in Figure 1. Sugar Cut Canal and Tom Paine Slough are located <br /> approximately 1-1/2 miles northeast of the site Both of these drainages flow to the north <br /> Ground water at the site is shallow, at approximately 5 8 feet below grade (fbg), as <br /> 1 <br />
