06 August 2003 <br /> AGE-NC Project No. 03-1045 <br /> Page 4 of 6 <br /> laboratory for one or more the following constituents: <br /> • Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g) and diesel (TPH-d) in <br /> accordance with EPA Method 5030/8015M; <br /> • Volatile organic compounds,including benzene,toluene,ethylbenzene and xylenes(BTE3Q, <br /> and the fuel additives tertiary butanol(TBA),di-isopropyl ether(RIPE),ethyl tert-butyl ether <br /> (ETBE), tert-amyl methyl ether (TAME), methyl tertiary- butyl ether (MTBE), <br /> 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) and 1,2-dibromoethane (EDB) in accordance with EPA <br /> Method 8260B; and <br /> • Total oil and grease(TOG) in accordance with EPA Methods 5520 or 418.1. <br /> Laboratory reports for soil analyses, testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality control <br /> (QA/QC) reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in a report with <br /> findings and recommendations. <br /> 3.3. GRAB GROUND WATER SAMPLE COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS <br /> Grab ground water samples will be collected from each boring during the boring process using a <br /> Geoprobe water sampling assembly. Samples will be collected into 40-m1 volatile organic analysis <br /> (VOA) vials with 0.5 ml 18%hydrochloric acid as a sample preservative and 1-liter amber bottles <br /> as appropriate for the required analyses; ground water sample collection procedures are presented <br /> in Section 4.1. <br /> Selected ground water samples will be analyzed by a DHS-certified laboratory for: <br /> • TPH-g and TPH-d by EPA Method 8015 Modified; and <br /> • VOCs by EPA Method 8260 <br /> 3.4. REPORT PREPARATION <br /> Upon completion of field work and receipt of final laboratory analysis, a report will be prepared <br /> presenting the findings of the investigation. The report will include a description of the work <br /> performed and results of the sampling and analysis.Conclusions,applicable recommendations,and <br /> maps will be included in the report. <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br />
