0
Additional Site Assessment Work Plan - Monitoring Well Installation
LOPEZ PROPERTY
1601 Turnpike Road, Stockton, California
1.0. INTRODUCTION
At the request of Ms.Mable Keir,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc(AGE)has prepared this work
plan for installation of ground water monitoring wells at 1601 Turnpike Road, Stockton,California
(site). The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1. A plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2.
This work plan is prepared in accordance with PHS-EHD and Central Valley Regional Water Quality
Control Board(CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tanks (UST)
sites. This work plan provides a description of the scope of work and procedures for the installation
of three ground water monitoring wells.
Background information is summarized in Appendix A. Previous ground water monitoring well
installations are documented in AGE's Quarterly Report-4"Quarter 2004, dated 20 January 2005,
and were conducted according to the Revised Work Plan, Monitoring Well Installation dated 16
August 2004, prepared by Kleinfelder Incorporated.
2.0. SCOPE OF WORK
The lateral and vertical extent of hydrocarbon-impacted ground water has not been defined at the
site. AGE proposes the following scope of work to further delineate the impacted ground water:
• Permitting and pre-field work activities;
• Pilot soil boring and sample collection;
• Monitoring well installation and development;
• Ground water sample collection;
• Preparation of a report of findings.
2.1. PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES
Applicable site assessment permits will be obtained from the PHS-EHD. In addition, an update to
the health and safety plan presently on-file will be prepared in accordance with Occupational Safety
and Health Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities (National Institute for
Occupational Safety and Health Administration, U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency, 1985). Prior to mobilization, each monitoring well location will be clearly
marked and a utility clearance obtained through Underground Service Alert.
Advanced GeoEuvironmental,Inc.
