This investigation will be <br /> completed in general accordance with the authorized scope of services outlined in our signed <br /> proposal number 33811. <br /> 1.0 Site Description <br /> The property consists of a Shell brand gasoline service station on the northwest corner of the <br /> intersection of North Tracy Boulevard and Highway 205 on-ramp in a mixed commercial and <br /> residential area of Tracy, California (Figure 2). <br /> The property is improved with a single-story convenience store building totaling 1,000-square <br /> feet. In addition the building, the property is improved with a fuel dispenser canopy, one car- <br /> wash building, one storage structure, six product dispenser islands with twelve total fuel <br /> dispensers, concrete-paved parking areas and associated landscaping. On-site operations <br /> include retail fuel and conveniences store sales and car-washing activities. The property is <br /> currently equipped with three (3) 12,000-gallon gasoline USTs of double-walled fiberglass <br /> construction, and one 12,000-gallon diesel UST of double-walled fiberglass construction. <br /> The property is relatively flat and is located at an elevation of about 18 feet above mean sea <br /> level. <br /> 2.0 Background and Purpose <br /> As detailed in the Phase I Environmental Site Assessment, records reviewed at the Tracy <br /> Building Department (TBD) indicate that a gasoline service station occupied the subject <br /> property from at least 1967 through 1985, and was equipped with two service bays likely <br /> utilized for automotive repairs and maintenance. According to plans dated 1967 (approximate) <br /> for this service building, two (2) hydraulic lifts were located within the southern half of the <br /> structure.
