The planned well abandonment is <br /> the; final step in site clowre, following the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board's leo-Further Action Letter of November 15, 1999. The field work for well <br /> abandonment will be completed by Hal Hansen of Doulos Environmental, Inc. Mr. Hansen is <br /> a registered geologist and holds a C-57 canuactcors license. <br /> All five tnkinitc)ring wells will be abandoned) in }glace by pressurc: gn)uting with a neat Cement <br /> Slurry. The cement nt slurry will he made by thoroughly mixing approximately 11 - 13 Pounds <br /> of type II Portland cement per galleon of clean. water- The grout will tx:placed in the well with <br /> a tr}rnmie hcase £rc►zrt the botturn of the: well to the surfacee; The estimated volumes of grout <br /> that will be required for each well are presented on Table 1.
