This training form is provided for the convenience of San Joaquin County businesses and can be used to document <br /> hazardous waste generator employee training. Businesses can choose to use a different form. San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Specialists,during an inspection, may ask for more training documentation above and beyond <br /> what is reported on this form. Refer to Title 22 California Code of Regulations sections 66262.34 and 66265.16 for the <br /> complete regulations. <br /> 1 Title 22 California Code of Regulations§66265.16(a)(1):The owner/operator shall ensure the training program <br /> includes all the elements in this section. <br /> Z Title 22 California Code of Regulations§66265.16(d)(3):The facility owner shall maintain,at the facility,a written <br /> description, including a syllabus and/or outline,of the type and amount of both introductory and continuing <br /> training. <br /> 3 Title 22 California Code of Regulations§66265.16(a)(2):The training must be directed by a person trained in <br /> hazardous waste management procedures. <br /> 4 Title 22 California Code of Regulations§66265.16(a):The owner shall ensure that facility personnel complete a training program <br /> through classroom,computer-based,or electronic instruction or on-the-job training. <br /> 5 Title 22 California Code of Regulations§66265.16(d)(1):The job title for each position at the facility related to hazardous waste <br /> management,and the name of each employee filling each job. <br /> 6 Title 22 California Code of Regulations§66265.16(d)(2): A written job description for each position listed under paragraph (d)(1)of <br /> this section.This description may be consistent in its degree of specificity with descriptions for other similar positions in the same <br /> company location or bargaining unit, but shall include the requisite skill, education,or other qualifications, and duties of employees <br /> assigned to each position. <br /> Title 22 California Code of Regulations§66265.16(b):Training is required within 180 days of hire or assignment <br /> to a new position. Untrained personnel must be supervised. <br /> 8 Title 22 California Code of Regulations§66265.16(d)(4): Employee signed or certified records that document that the training <br /> required under subsections(a), (b)and (c)of 66265.16 has been given to and completed by each employee. <br /> Page 2 of 2 version: Sept 22, 2020 <br />
