Once complete, please return to me and I will coordinate with Water Board and DTSC Brownfields programs to
identify next steps.
Thank you,
John Murphy
From:Alaniz,John [EHD] <jalanizl@sjov.or >
Sent: Monday, November 23, 2020 12:08 PM
To: Murphy,John@Waterboards<John.Murphv@Waterboards.ca.gov>
Cc: Backus, Garrett [EHD] <gbackus@sjgov.org>; Meeks, Steven @Waterboa rds<Steven.Meeks@waterboards.ca.gov>
Subject: RE: Paint Cleanup
EXTERNAL:
Hi John,
We have received all of our lab results back.
Here is the information I have.
The business name and location is:
Quest Industries LLC
2518 E Boeing Way, Stockton, CA 95206
The facility spray paints alcohol bottles: https://byauest.com/our-services/
During our inspection, we noticed grey and brown staining in the soil on the east side of the property (please see
attached pictures). According to the quality manager, the grey staining was from mop water being dumped on the
ground. He did not know where the brown staining was from.
I ended up taking samples of both colored soils and the background.
The names for the samples taken are as follow (corresponds to the lab results)
Sample ID: #2 Soil-Shop-This was the background sample
Sample ID: #3 Dark Soil-Shop-This was the soil with the brown staining
Sample ID: #4 Soil Under-Faucet-This was the soil with the grey staining.
A TTLC was performed on all three of them and a TCLP was performed on samples 3 and 4. 1 also want to point out that
we took a total of seven samples around the property. The results attached (17 pages) are for everything.
Please feel free to call or email me with questions.
Thank You,
John Alaniz
REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
1868 E Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, California 95205
Phone: (209) 616-3053
Fax: (209)468-3433
Please note, my email address has changed to jalanizl@sieov.ore.
2
