UNIVERSAL WASTE LAMPS <br /> EMERGENCY PROCEDURES <br /> If a lamp breaks or shows evidence of <br /> leakage, spillage, or damage you must <br /> (only if properly trained): <br /> Clean up the broken lamp with a broom and dust pan <br /> and place the pieces or damaged lamp in a container; <br /> (DO NOT USE ANY VACUUMING-TYPE DEVICES <br /> UNLESS DESIGNED FOR MERCURY CLEAN-UP); <br /> Label the container "Hazardous Waste-Broken Bulbs" <br /> and date the box. <br /> The containers must be closed, structurally sound, <br /> compatible with the contents of the lamps and lack <br /> evidence of leakage, spillage or damage that could cause <br /> leakage or releases of mercury or other hazardous <br /> constituents to the environment. <br />
