The chloroform concentrations reported in samples
collected from site monitoring wells ranged from less than the laboratory reporting limit of
0.5 micrograms per liter (pg/L) to 39 pg/L. The analytical results for the second half 2002 are
consistent with historic trends and demonstrate that the chloroform plume is generally stable or
contracting. The plume's upgradient edge appears to remain undefined, however, as the sample
from monitoring well MW-21 was reported to contain chloroform at 34 pg/L. A work plan
proposing additional soil and ground water investigation in the vicinity of monitoring well
MW-21 is currently under preparation. The next monitoring event at the site is scheduled for
January 2003.
CAWP\2002 Letters\02-217Am
5049 Robert J.Mathews Parkway,Suite 200 (916)939-7550
El Dorado Hills,California 95762 Fax(916)939-7570
