As you
observed in the field, this method proved unsuccessful due to the presence of concrete in the
annular space surrounding the well casing. Accordingly, Acton • Mickelson • Environmental,
Inc. solicited bids from C57-licensed drilling contractors for abandonment to be performed
utilizing the alternate technique of perforate-and-grout. The proposed abandonment technique is
described in the attached "Well Abandonment Drilling Contractor Scope of Work." Acton
Mickelson • Environmental, Inc. has selected Western Strata Exploration, Incorporated of West
Sacramento, California to perform this work. The tentative job date is the first week of
July 2002.
CAWP\2002 Letters\02-157.dm
5049 Robert J.Mathews Parkway,Suite 200 (916)939-7550
Et Dorado Hills,California 95762 Fax(916)939-7570
