The letter includes
a site map indicating the well location and a copy of the log
for Well BCS. As 7 indicated during our conversation, the well
has not been used as a monitoring location since December 1988
and it was damaged sometime shortly before September 1990.
Since it was relocated and excavated in September 1990, measure-
ments (November 1990 and January 1991) indicate the well is dry
to its total depth of. 40.5 feet. Attached to the work plan and
permit application is a November 2, 1990, letter from Georgia-
Pacific to Ms. Pat Leary of the Regional Water Quality Control
Board indicating Georgia-Pacific's intention to have the damaged
well destroyed.
In accordance with San Joaquin County requirements, we will use
a licensed drilling contractor who has worked previously in the
county. That contractor is Glenn Martell and Son, znc. , of
Pittsburg, California. Besides experience in San Joaquin
County, they are already familiar with Tracy site having
constructed the two extraction wells which have been used for
groundwater remediation.
