j 0
Ar. Doug Dutton 1 -2- 7 February 1986
3. Monitoring of the cleanup process, and post-cleanup monitoring may last for
more than one year.
4. The cleanup goal for chloroform in ground water remains 0.2 ppb, as stated
in our 14 February 1985 letter. GP should propose alternatives and costs
of cleanup to this concentration in the ground water.
S. GP should consider alternative methods of treatment and disposal other than
stripping tower and disposal to the storm water pond or the irrigation
ditch.
We encourage GP to begin construction of BC17 as soon as possible. Construction
of BC15 and BC16 should begin as soon as acceptable locations are agreed upon.
Once further plume definition is complete, GP should submit a detailed cleanup
plan, based upon that definition, incorporating the methods which capture the
greatest amount of chloroform.
If you have any questions, please call Dan Ward at (916) 324-8891.
ANTONIA .
