If
you are in the office and would like me to swing by (it might be easier in
person), I can do that. Let me take this one at a time:
You are looking at the right figure, Fig. 19 shows the proposed well
LOCATIONS #4 and #5 (these are what is called out on the application). I
tried to explain that each location may be two wells, one deep and one
shallow. I should have used some kind of notation to show that they are
separate wells (S=shallow, D=deep): #4-S, #4-D, #5-S, #5-D for a total of four
wells. I guess figure 19 is more of a "Location" map, showing the locations
wells are to be drilled, not necessarily a "well map" showing the names of the
wells.
In response to your numbered questions:
1) The two wells are not going to be nested, they will be separate boreholes,
maybe 5'from each other like you say below.
2) Well #5 is to be located near the property boundary ON STUDLEY
COMPANY PROPERTY.
3)
4) For study area 2, Well location #4 (fig 19, discussed above as wells #4-S
and 4-D) is covered in this application since it is on Studley Co. property.
Another application will be submitted as soon as we have access agreements
for Proposed Well Cluster#3 (fig 19), which is located on the neighbor's
property.
5) "Onsite" wells include Well #4-S and #4-D (figure 19, study area 2,
proposed soil boring #4), Well #5-S and #5-D (figure 19, study area 3,
proposed deep well #5), PDW-2 (figure 20), PDW-3 (figure 20), PDB-1 (figure
20), and PDW-4 (map not found in workplan, I attached a map for it to the
application separately since it is "exploratory" and not in response to regulatory
action). That is a total of 8 wells, all located on Studley Co. property.
6) Carlee at VW said she'd be glad to chat with you (or me) about the spec's.
Are you looking for OD and wall thickness? OD=8 5/8", Carlee is figuring out
what the wall thickness is, but I think it's 5/8"....
7) Typically we would drill to groundwater, then drill an additional 10-feet and
set the casing/screen. When they say "overdrill" they want us to keep drilling
through groundwater until we hit the next confining layer. This would just tell
them how thick the aquifer is.
Hopefully this helps, if you want to chat in person, I'll swing by your office
today. Since you'll be out of the office, I agree, it would be nice to wrap it up
today.
Thanks,
5/7/2008
