Staff
will now incorporate any information received by 25 June 2002 into the tentative Waste Discharge
Requirements (WDRs).
As described in staff's 12 June 2002 letter, we are not"demanding"that this information be submitted,
but instead have identified certain items which are not fully described in the RWD. If Musco chooses to
submit the information by 25 June, then we will be able to incorporate it into the tentative WDRs that
are already under preparation. From staff's standpoint, the most important information that Musco could
submit is to clarify its requested flow rate and salt loading limits (questions 6 and 7 of the 12 June
letter). The time to submit a corrected page 7 of the Form 200 is also extended to 25 June 2002.
As we also discussed, staff intend to mail the tentative WDRs by 12 July, and comments will be due
within three weeks,by 2 August 2002. If you have any questions, please contact Wendy Wyels at (916)
255-3135 or Tim O'Brien at(916) 255-3116.
ACK E.
