Mr. Ben Hall • - 3 - • 19 May 2010
Section 2.4 should be filtered with a 0.45-micron filter prior to digestion and analysis.
Please include a table that addresses the sampling protocol issues.
11.Section 2.7 describes report preparation, but it isn't clear if the report described will be
the submittal required by WDR Provision G.1.d. If so, the report described will not
address the items described in the Provision. Please review WDR Provision G.1.d for
the report requirements.
12.Section 2.8 describes, "...it is possible that one or both wells will be properly
abandoned after four quarterly monitoring events." It is noted that Monitoring and
Reporting Program (MRP) Order No. R5-2010-0025, Groundwater Monitoring section
requires, "Once installed, all new or replacement wells shall be added to the list of
background and compliance monitoring wells." You must seek approval prior to
destroying any groundwater monitoring wells.
13.Figure 2 is presented at a scale that is not easily legible. Please present the area of
investigation at a larger scale. Also, the difference in legend symbols between a
proposed monitoring well and a dry monitoring well is indistinguishable on a black and
white print.
Please address the items described above in an amended Workplan.
