Kennedy/Jenks Consultants
3.4.2 Evaluation of the Intermediate Zone
The intermediate zone has two active groundwater monitoring wells; MW-22 and MW-10R.
Well MW-22 is located in a cross-gradient to partially downgradient location and is very close to
the Title 27 ponds. Well MW-10R is located cross-gradient to the Title 27 ponds and is not
suitable for detecting a potential release from the ponds. The groundwater monitoring network
for the intermediate zone does not satisfy the intent of Title 27. Additional monitoring wells are
needed.
3.4.3 Evaluation of Zones of Higher Hydraulic Conductivity
There are notations on boring logs that indicate the potential for the presence of water in zones
of higher hydraulic conductivity above the intermediate zone. The presence or absence of water
in these zones should be evaluated to determine if additional groundwater monitoring wells in
this zone(s)are needed.
Work Plan for Improved Detection Monitoring Program Page 9
Musco Family Olive Company, Tracy, California
gus-gmupWmin'Nt`ffin 1040 m=wWetlg.mp ft%fiW 27-dmpWf daemee(lreport text-09-26.doc
