0
1
' 3.7 ONGOING MONITORING
In the event that additional monitoring events are requested, the monitoring wells will be
sampled in accordance with the Monitoring and Reporting Program (MRP) from RWQCB, and
previously outlined protocols for groundwater sampling.
' Field activities and laboratory results will be compiled into a report. The report is usually due to
the RWQCB by the l't day of the second month following the prescribed sampling event interval.
' Monitoring reports will include the following:
• A description of field activities, observations, and protocols.
• The report will be supported by field logs for each well documenting depth to
groundwater, parameters measured before, during, and after purging, method of
' purging, calculation of the casing volume, and total volume of water purged.
• Calculation of groundwater elevations, and assessment of the groundwater flow
direction and gradient on the date of the measurement, comparison to previous
flow direction and gradient data, and discussion of seasonal trends, if any.
' • A scaled map showing relevant structures and features of the facility, the locations
of the monitoring wells, and groundwater contours referenced to mean sea level
' (msl) datum.
• Results of the sample analysis with copies of certified analytical laboratory results
' with chain-of-custody documentation;
• Description and documentation of QA/QC procedures employed for field and
laboratory work; and
• An assessment of the results with conclusions and recommendations.
' • Any annual monitoring data collected in the sampling event.
The subsequent monitoring well sampling events will be conducted in accordance with the
previously outlined tasks. The groundwater samples will be analyzed for the previously listed
analysis, with the exception of the Standard Minerals, which has been identified by RWQCB as
being required for an annual event.
1 The client will submit the report under a separate cover letter to RWQCB.
1
' 12406/2002R 160 Page 9 of 13
Copyright 2002,Kleinfelder,Inc.
