Kennedy/Jenks Consultants <br /> Ms,Jo Anne Kipps, P.E. <br /> Central Valley Region <br /> California Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> 18 March 2004 <br /> Page 3 <br /> Sample Analysis <br /> Samples will be analyzed for the general minerals suite, including: <br /> • Nitrogen as Nitrate and Nitrite (EPA Method 300 series) <br /> • Ammonia (EPA Method 350.3) <br /> • Hardness (EPA Method 130) <br /> • Calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, iron, and manganese (EPA Method 200.7, <br /> EPA Method 601 OB) <br /> • Alkalinity including calcium carbonate, bicarbonate, and hydroxide (SM 232OB/EPA <br /> Method 310.1) <br /> • Chloride, fluoride, and sulfate (EPA Method 300 series) <br /> • pH measured in the laboratory (EPA Method 150.1) <br /> • Total Dissolved Solids (EPA 160.1)for assessing potential agricultural impacts. <br /> In addition, samples will be analyzed for Total Organic Carbon (EPA Method 415.1).The pH, <br /> temperature, and electrical conductivity will be measured in the field as the samples are <br /> collected. <br /> Samples will be collected in laboratory-provided containers.
