 y
83 WEST MARCH LANE
SUITE 12 July 19, 1990 STOCKTON,CA 95207
sM PHONE:(209)476-1635
MANAGERS DE5IGIULTANTS
nECEAVED
Mr. Greg Lyone 1 U L 2 3 1990
Department of Environmental Health
San Joaquin County ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
P.O. Box 2009 PERMIT/SERVICES
Stockton, CA 95201
Dear Mr. Lyon,
As a follow-up to your request for a well log of the monitor well
installed at the former Laura Scudder's property located at 100 W.
Valpico Road in Tracy, California, please find attached a boring
log labeled "Boring T-1. "
This log, originally presented in WESTON's report entitled
"Groundwater Investigation Work Plan, Tank T-2 Area" dated March
13, 1990, describes the lithology from a boring located approxi-
mately five feet from the installation of the monitor well.
Because this information was available, WESTON did not lithologi-
cally log during the installation of the well due to a desire to
avoid redundancy of effort. However, as an extra check on the
appropriateness of this decision, I have talked with Rob Sengebush,
our registered geologist, who .supervised the well installation. He
had reviewed the lithology of boring T-1 in comparison to the
conditions found during the well installation and could discern no
difference. Hence, WESTON is confident the boring log for Boring
T-1 is representative of the lithology through which the well was
eventually constructed.
I trust that you will find that this log, along with Figure A-2
from Appendix A of WESTON's recent "Groundwater Investigation
Report" for the Tank T-2 'area (also attached) will provide a
complete package of information fbr your review.
Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to
call me.
Sincerely,
ROY F.
