The analytical results presented <br /> within the November 7, 1989 report indicate that the north half of <br /> the pile should not be considered hazardous as a level of io0fl <br /> mg/Kg for TPH is the level utilized for the hazardous determination <br /> per 't-:_s California Department of Health Services. Disposal of the <br /> north half as hazardous waste would constitute an unwarranted <br /> expenditure of funds and scarce hazardous waste landfill capacity. <br /> WESTON stands by its recommendation that the piles should be <br /> segregated and resampled to determine a proper disposal method and <br /> �- re-sampling prior to disposal. <br /> 7.0 Additional comments <br /> Mr. Lyons also requested that the tank bottom soils within the Tank <br /> T1 area be resampled for BTX&E compounds. Mr. Lyons felt that <br /> only one sample from the tank area is not representative. Review <br /> of the data contained in the November report indicates that indeed <br /> two samples were analyzed for BTX&E.
