As per our phone conversation, this letter is an update of <br /> work completed on the underground fuel system at Laura Scudder's. <br /> 100 W. Valpico Road, Tracy, California, In addition, we would <br /> like to submit a plan to upgrade the fuel system, making it more_ <br /> manageable so as to conform with the Title 23 requirements. <br /> Background: <br /> The two Fuel tanks and associated piping at Laura Scudder's <br /> were originally tested by Accutite Co. from S. San Francisco. <br /> Both systems failed precision tests. At that time, Precision <br /> w Industries was contacted. After an inspection of the facility <br /> and the discovery of many fuel supply lines it was evident that <br /> the tanks needed to be uncovered, with tank only tests to be <br /> M performed. With all lines disconnected, both tanks passed <br /> precision tests. At that point, we began to air test individual <br /> product lines. <br /> Seven of the ten lines air tested failed to hold any pressure <br /> and on further inspection we found a high degree of corrosion on <br /> many product lines. Since the lines that would not hold pressure <br /> have not been active in seven years, very little hydrocarbons <br /> - were observed in the soil in the specific areas excavated. <br /> Proposal : <br /> Laura Scudder's has requested that Precision Industries, Inc. <br /> submit a proposal for the renovation of their fuel system. The <br /> renovation can be split into three distinct parts. <br /> 1) Removal of one 10,000 gallon tank.
