The inorganic lead analysis for T-1 West indicated a lead content of 54.2 ppm. As a means of remediation and further data gathering, we propose to excavate to a depth of fifteen feet within, the confines of the existing excavation, approximately 8'W x 16% . Approximately nineteen yards of material will be removed in this process. All soils removed will be stockpiled in a secure area on a sheet of visqueen. The soil will then be covered with visqueen until disposal can be arranged. Two soil samples will men be extracted at the 15' depth by Ray F. Weston Labs. Additionally, one more sample will be extracted at a depth of 2' from under the existing asphalt cover approximately 50' frau the tank 1 pit. This sample will be to verify any existing background ?.evels of lead on the site. All samples will be analyzed for total inorganic lead content. Upon receipt of sample results a plan for further work will be submitted, or a request to ccmplete the closure. 3) Tank 3 Pipeline A 2" steel diesel fuel product line from tank W3 to the northwest corner of the truck stop was removed on May 30, 1989. She length of the product line was in excess of 200 feet. (See site map). Thirteen ;,.oil samples were collected by Roy F. Weston labs. All thirteen were collected at a depth of two feet below grade. All samples are identi- fied as P-1-P-12A as well as dispenser A, or P-l-P-12B and dispenser B. All "A" samples were analyzed using EPA standard 8020. All "B" samples were analyzed using EPA standard 8015 modified. Under the 8015 modified, only sample 12-B contained a total petro- leum hydrocarbon value. This value is 24 ppm. Under the 8020 standard, samples P2-A, P2-4, P7 A, P8-A, P9 A, P10 A, P11-A, P12-A and dispenser A indicate slight values for Tolulene. As a means of remediation and further data gathering we propose to - excavate the product line trench to a depth of four feet from grade. All excavated material will be stockpiled on visqueen in a secure area with a sheet of visqueen covering the soil. --� Five soil samples will be collected along the trench at the direction - - ---of a--San Joaquin_Incal Health District-representative.___All-samples -will_--- -_. _---- -- - _� -- be analyzed under EPA standard 8015 modified and 8020 by Roy F.
