Risk & Safety Page 1 of 1 <br /> Emergency Evacuation <br /> Team Members and customers within the building should not be told specifically about the emergency in order to avoid panic and <br /> confusion. All phases of evacuation must be handled in a calm and orderly manner. <br /> Management: <br /> 1. Notify the Police or Fire Department of the crisis and then contact your Asset Protection Manager and District Manager or for <br /> DCs, the RVP <br /> 2. The District Manager and/or Location Manager will make the decision whether or not to evacuate the location based upon the <br /> severity of the situation. <br /> 3. Assign Team Members to the location exits to ensure that all people have exited the building safely. <br /> 4. Make an evacuation announcement: "May I have your attention please? Due to an emergency situation, Advance will be <br /> closing at this time. Customers please leave through the nearest entrance. Advance will resume operations as soon as <br /> conditions permit.
