Page 6 <br /> • Drain and collect the free-flowing fuel from the fuel filters and place it back into the <br /> pertinent fuel tank or can. Do not mix drained fuel with used oil in the used oil container. <br /> Any spent fuel filters must be placed in a separate storage container and labeled"Spent <br /> Fuel Filters" or, alternatively, "Used Oil/Fuel Filters." The filter storage container shall <br /> be stored in a designated facility area pending removal for recycling or by a hazardous <br /> waste hauler. <br /> • Maintenance activities performed by contract personnel resulting in the generation of <br /> used oil, used oil filters, spent fuel filters, or oil sorbents shall be removed from the <br /> premises by the contracted vendor. <br /> • Contract for removal of waste materials by a registered hazardous waste hauler or <br /> transfer to a receiving/recycling facility. <br /> • Proper segregation, collection, containment, storage, labeling and accumulation will be <br /> periodically monitored to verify that proper practices are being utilized. <br /> • Maintenance staff and other pertinent staff are initially oriented and annually updated <br /> as to proper practices for handling of used oil and associated articles. Training records <br /> are maintained. <br /> 2.E Emergency Notification Procedures & Contacts <br /> In accordance with §112.7(a)4 <br /> All discharges should be reported to the Response Coordinator, Nick Chambers. The following <br /> personnel, in Table-2, are to be contacted as soon as possible and practical regarding any spills that <br /> cannot be contained with the above procedures. The general hospital number, 209-944-5550, is <br /> accessible twenty-four hours a day if any of the following numbers in the tables below are not <br /> available. <br /> 2.E.1 Internal Notifications: <br /> In the event of a HAZARDOUS MATERIALS SPILL/RELEASE: <br /> 1. Evacuate immediate area, close doors upon exiting, warn others away, and initiate a CODE <br /> ORANGE by dialing: 1-1-1. <br /> *Do not attempt to respond beyond your level of training or certification. <br /> 2.
