Decontamination equipment was not seen near the hazardous waste storage area. Provide <br />decontamination equipment for this area by 5-8-04 <br />qD <br />19. Containers, which store hazardous waste, cannot be stored onsite longer tha days. <br />Containers were found during the inspection that has been onsite longer than days and an <br />unknown amount of time. Within 30 days dispose of the containers according to Title 22 <br />hazardous waste regulations and provide this office with a copy of the manifest/receipts from the <br />disposal. <br />1. Oily rag drum dated 4-03 <br />2. Used oil filter drum (label not completed) <br />3. Drum with solidified wax <br />20. Hazardous waste containers must be labeled with the minimum following information: 1. The <br />words "HAZARDOUS WASTE" 2. facility name and address 3. Accumulation start date 4. Physical <br />state 5. Hazardous properties 6. Contents. Label all hazardous waste containers with complete <br />information. The following containers need a proper label. Correct immediately. <br />1. Waste from aerosol cans <br />2. Accumulation start date must have month -day -year. The oily rag drum as well as <br />numerous other containers had an improper accumulation start date.(month & year) <br />21. Hazardous waste container must remain closed except when adding or removing a waste. <br />The oily rag container did not have a secure lid. Immediately properly close the container. <br />27. & 30. Hazardous waste manifest and receipts must be kept a minimum of 3 years. <br />Hazardous waste manifests and receipts could not be provided from 2002 during the inspection. <br />Provide this office with copies of all hazardous waste receipts/manifest generated at this facility <br />during 2002. Correct by 5-8-04 <br />28. A signed copy for manifest #22091585 could not be found during the inspection. Determine <br />status of waste transported on the listed manifest. Provide this office with documentation on how <br />status of hazardous waste was determined. Correct by 5-8-04 <br />29. An exception report must be sent to DTSC within 45 days if a signed manifest copy is not <br />received. Facility did not send an exception report for manifest #22091585. Send an exception <br />report to DTSC by 5-8-04 <br />43. This facility could not provide a contingency plan during the inspection. Create a contingency <br />plan for this facility and provide a copy to this office by 5-8-04. <br />49. Training records could not be provided during the inspection. Provide this office with copies <br />of hazardous waste training records. Correct by 5-8-04 <br />75. Universal waste lamps, batteries and aerosol cans were found without a universal waste <br />label. Provide proper labeling for all universal waste within 30 days. <br />77. The universal waste found at the facility has been onsite an unknown amount of time. Within <br />30 days properly dispose of the universal waste and provide this office with documentation of the <br />disposal.
