Batteries and other potentially hazardous materials are
stored outside unprotected (unbermed).
4. Washdown of equipment is done on the grounds. This
flows unabated to the storm sewer, only storm water or
runoff from domestic sources is permitted into the storm
sewer. All other discharges are prohibited.
5. An adequate spill prevention plan needs to be initiated
and implemented. Part of this plan might be an employee
training program in the safe handling and disposal of
materials used on site.
Cal Cedar has 30 days from the receipt of this letter to
prepare a compliance schedule to eliminate all noted
discharge violations. A copy of a standard compliance
schedule format is enclosed for reference. In addition to
this, please send us specifications of equipment you plan to
install, blueprints, copies of invoices, calculations, and
anything else pertinent to these projects.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call the
number above.
MORRIS L.
