i W
Please note that reporting limits for soil analyses should be at or below the
Environmental Protection Agency Region 9 Preliminary Remediation Goals for
residential soil. Detection limits for any solubility testing conducted should be as
low as possible to achieve the lowest Water Quality Goals as published by the
Regional Water Quality Control Board.
5) The technical report which will be prepared and submitted should include a
screening level Human Health Risk Assessment, and an evaluation of protection
of surface water and groundwater if concentrations are above those observed in
background samples. Lead should be addressed using DTSC's Lead Spread 7
spreadsheet, and Copper and Chromium should be assessed for cumulative risk
and hazard. More detail regarding the site is required to determine whether a
screening level Ecological Risk Assessment is required for the site. Additional
information needed includes a more detailed Figure 2 which identifies the
following: Specific boat maintenance operations and their associated areas;
Slope(s) of the site; Drainage pattern(s) of the site; and, elevations between the
"work area" and the surrounding land or water surfaces. Please provide this
information to DISC for review prior to implementing the workplan.
If you have any questions please contact me at (916) 255-3744 or ilile dtsc.ca.gov.
