Obtain weight of entire sample. <br />2. Pour sample into 100 micron sieve and cover with lid. <br />3. Place on mechanical shaker for 30 minutes. <br />4. Collect sample passing through sieve. <br />5. Weigh sample that passes through sieve. <br />6. Calculate percentage of sample passing through sieve using the following equation: <br />% less than 100 microns = wt of collected sieved sample x 100 <br />wt of total sample <br />
